Minstead Village Shop can be found in the charming medieval village of Minstead in the New Forest. The shop is the meeting place for locals and visitors alike, provides tourist information, and serves excellent local produce. You can now enjoy a drink in the sheltered coffee shop area overlooking the village green with its grazing New Forest Ponies.
Just a stone’s throw from the shop and the historic Trusty Servant Inn is the delightful garden hideaway providing ground floor en-suite accommodation with a private garden area and cycle storage. Dogs are welcome too. The church housing the grave of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his second wife, Jean, is just up the hill at the back of the shop.
There’s lot to do and see in Minstead, much of it easily being reached on foot or by cycle.
Minstead Village Shop will officially become a registered New Forest National Park Local Information Point early in 2010.
